Wayne Norman Anderson, age 74, passed away Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 unexpectedly. He was with his wife Jerrie and friends in Portland, OR. Wayne was married to his wife, Jerrie, for 33 years and had retired to Idleyld Park, OR where they spent about 13 years on a forested mountain top. Wayne enjoyed spending time in his garden, playing card games and taste testing all of his wife's cooking. Wayne grew up in Wakefield, Nebraska, the second oldest of 8. He had 2 children from his first marriage, Wayne Jr. and Nicole. He met Jerrie in Portland and married on Valentines Day in 1982. They lived in Beaverton with Jerrie's children Susan and Richard. Wayne served 5 years in the Navy on the Independence and Enterprise aircraft carriers. He was also part of a flight squadron where he flew on sonar planes. After a short time as an electrical engineer, Wayne began a career in financial and estate planning. Wayne was a dedicated professional, confidant and friend to all who knew him. Everyone trusted they could call him for support and mentoring at anytime. He was a devoted husband and father who always encouraged his family with loving support. Wayne was a dedicated patriot who loved and believed in his country. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Wayne's memorial will be held at McMenamins Old Church on November 1st, 2015 at 11am. The address is: Wilsonville Old Town Square, 30340 SW Boones Ferry Rd. Wilsonville, OR 97070
