Verna Irene Hall died at the age of 88 on July 2, 2012 at a local hospital.Verna was born Dec. 7, 1923 at Twin Falls, ID to Jacob and Irene (Visser) Sinema.She graduated from Twins Falls High School and attended Whitman College, Walla Walla, WA; University of Colorado , Chicago Art Institute and University of Southern California, earning a BFA degree with high honors and a MS degree. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.On June 27, 1948 she married Earl Harold Hall at Twin Falls, ID. Together they founded The Eastern Idaho Farmer, a weekly newspaper in Idaho Falls, IDIn 1954 they moved to West Germany where Earl was employed by The Stars and Stripsand Verna by the Dept. of Defense schools as teacher and later administrator, until retirement.Returning to the USA in 1976, The couple resided in Hagerman Valley, ID and in 1984 moved to Woodburn, OR Verna's hobbies included art, gardening, swimming and traveling.Memorial contributions can be made to Food Bank of choice.Survived by her brother Gerald Sinema of Phoenix, AZ and nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by husband Earl in 1991.Private Interment in Bozeman, MT.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburn
