Tomi Dilley of Woodburn, OR died November 18, 2012 in her home at age 83 of Pancreatic Cancer. Mrs. Dilley was born in Okinawa, Japan on February 1, 1929 to Seiei & Haru (Zakabi) Uchima. She lived and worked in Okinawa until meeting her husband Walter Dilley, Jr. at her place of employment in the labor office on Kadena Air Force Base where he was stationed in 1957, they married in 1958. As the wife of a military man, they moved frequently. In 1959 they moved to Atwater, CA, then to Navato, CA in 1965 and back to Okinawa in 1970 and then Tucson, AZ. before settling down in the Molalla, Woodburn area of Oregon in 1974. Tomi was a homemaker and loved her family dearly and when she wasn't holding down the home she enjoyed her own hobbies of knitting, crocheting, gardening and working on the family tree farm with Walter in Colton, OR. Together they had two sons; Tim Dilley of Woodburn and Walter Dilley of Mesa, AZ. She is survived by her Husband Walter, her two sons, a brother Tadashi Uchima of Okinawa and five grandchildren.
