Thresa Marie King: An inspiration to her family and friends, a loving mother, beautiful, kind and giving, a dress designer, seamstress and knitter, filled with laughter whenever she danced. Thresa was a southern California beach girl attending Beauty School when she met Cliff, who was also attending beauty school. After graduation, they moved to Beaverton to begin their new life. Thresa's talent as an exquisite dress maker was legendary. She was the owner of Thresa's Knits and Boutique, in Old Towne, Portland. Give her fabric, a needle and a pair of scissors and she could create anything her clients desired..
Thresa and Cliff spent their retirement years RVing and living part time in Mexico. At 75, they were featured in Dive Trade Magazine as the oldest known couple to become certified scuba divers. They made 100 dives their first year. Married for nearly 70 years, they leave behind their beloved family and friends who meant the world to them. They will be interned together at Willamette National Cemetery.
