On Tuesday December 4th, 2018, Theresa (Terry) Kacalek, passed away at
age 95. Theresa was born at her family home on July 4th, 1923 in Gladstone, North Dakota
to Valentine and Elizabeth Sickler. There were 13 children in their family. She attended a country school through 8th grade. On June 29, 1944, she married Al Kacalek. They raised 6 children. She was an active member at St Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn, OR for 55 years.
Theresa had a passion for her family. She worked for Birds Eye Cannery for over 20 years.
Her hobbies included; embroidery, crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening and she loved
to cook. No one left her home hungry.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert, her son Randy and her siblings: Tony, Val,
Barbara, Elizabeth, Matt, Mary (Sister Lornette), Marge, Frank and Frances.
She is survived by her children: Bob Kacalek, Jean Haug, Patsy McGrath, LaVonne Broadbent, Jim Kacalek, 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren. Her siblings; Albert Sickler, Jo Mack and Fred Sickler. Numerous nieces and nephews.
On Monday, December 10, 2018 a viewing will be held from 2-6 pm at Simon-Cornwell
Colonial Chapel in Woodburn, OR.
On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 a Rosary will be held at 10:30 am and her funeral service
will begin at 11:00 am at St Luke Catholic Church 417 Harrison Street in Woodburn, OR.
