Thelma Brear of Canby, Oregon died June 14, 2004. She was 96 years old. Thelma was born Feb. 9, 1908 in Mill City, Oregon. On July 6, 1929 she married LeRoy Brear in Tacoma, Washington. She attended Oreogn State and Lewis and Clark College and later served as secretary to the president of Lewis and Clark. She was a devoted Christian Science practitioner and reader at the church. As a musician, she enjoyed playing piano, singing and playing the violin. She also gave piano and singing lessons. She was devoted to her family. She lived in Woodburn before moving to Canby several years ago. Thelma is survived by her son Robert Brear of Port Orchard, Washington, her duaghter Judean Scholer of Woodburn, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 15, 1974.
