It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sylvia Marie Sowa. A loving mother and grandmother, Sylvia devoted her life to her family and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

She is survived by her two sons, Scott of Riverside, California, and Sean of Tigard, Oregon and her brother Bill Hovenden of Kirkland, WA. Sylvia's legacy also includes her beloved grandchildren, Timothy of Riverside and Allison of Boston, MA, who were the light of her life.

A Visitation will be at Simon Cornwell Funeral Home 390 N 2nd St Woodburn Monday December 8th from noon to 4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke's Church in Woodburn on Tuesday December 9th at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Sylvia's remarkable life and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Reception to follow the Funeral Mass at the Eagles Club 371 S Pacific Hwy, Woodburn where we can share stories. A private interment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon at a later date.
