Sylvia Luz Ortiz-Cordero died at the age of 89 on Feb. 23, 2015.
Sylvia was born June 20, 1925 at Mayaguez, Puerto Rico to Luis and Julia (Cordero) Ortiz.
She was 1 of 10 children in her family.
Sylvia worked in retail sales for a jewelry store in Puerto Rico for 15 years. She was
a member of St Mary's Episcopal Church.
Sylvia is survived by her son Miguel Arroyo-Ortiz of New York City, daughter Sylvia
Arroyo- Ortiz of Woodburn and brother Carlos of Puerto Rico.
Memorial service will be held Thursday- March 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM at San Andres Episcopal Church at Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Interment at Cementerio Municipal de Mayaguez.
Arrangements by Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
