Shirley Beda Danskey was born Nov 25, 1927 in Centralia, Washington to Lester and Beda Lazelle. Shirley died at the her home at the age of 84 September 2, 2012 surrounded by her children.Shirley graduated from Yelm High School in Yelm, Washington in 1945. She worked at the Safeway store in Yelm, Washington until moving to Portland, Oregon in 1952 and worked at the NE Portland Safeway store. In 1955, Shirley met her husband Edmond Danskey at a singles dance in Portland. They married in 1956.Shirley enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidering, gardening, cooking, bowling, her children, grandchildren, granddaughter, family gatherings and trips.Shirley was proceeded in death by her husband Edmond in 1995 and survived by her son Stanley, daughters Debbie, Marie and Loretta, grandchildren Justin, Jason, Anthony, Jeffrey, Jodi and Patrick, and great-granddaughter Georgia Rose.Celebration of Life Services at the United Methodist Church in Woodburn, Or on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
