Sheryl was born December 29, 1944 in Klamath Falls, Oregon to Lewis and Leona "Christina" (Thor) Barkley. Sheryl worked in security through Nordstrom's and Pinkerton for over 20 years, then later in life found great joy in real estate through Century 21. Sheryl was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Woodburn and very much enjoyed family functions, dancing and evenings out at the lodge. She loved making jewelry and enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, camping and the beach. She most enjoyed these things when shared with the true loves of her life "Her Family". Sheryl is survived by her children; Tamera Walton of Bozeman, MT, Michael Walton of Portland, OR and Susan Clausen of Salem, OR., Brother; Larry Barkley of Aurora, OR., Sisters; Darla Gillespie of Woodburn and Dona Stone of Sheridan, OR, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sheryl was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Dirk Gantert, brother Gary Barkley and one granddaughter Heidi L. Clausen.Personal viewing/visitation is on Friday- December 30, 2011 from 1-5 PM at Cornwell Colonial Chapel Funeral service will be held Sat.
