On Wednesday, December17, 2014, our precious Sara Chase Howard went peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus. She died at home surrounded by family and friends who loved her.
Sara was born on August 13, 1979, in Fontana, California. She grew up in San Bernardino and graduated from high school there. Since moving to Oregon in 1998, Sara lived in and around Tualatin.
Sara worked at Clubsport, Southern Pacific Funding, Sunset Direct and Rolling Hills Community Church. She was one of the most loving and caring individuals. She was always thoughtful and considerate of her co-workers, never missing an opportunity to celebrate their lives.
On May 8, 2014, Sara was diagnosed with stomach cancer. It was devastating news, but Sara handled it with the strength and courage we had come to expect from her. She relied on her faith in God to get her through. He held her close. Sara was never rude or unkind to any of the doctors or nurses no matter how bad the news or painful the procedure. It has been our privilege to walk with Sara through this painful process. She has been an inspiration to us all.
Sara leaves behind her precious five-year old daughter, Chloe, the love of her life, also, her parents, Bob & Sara Howard, her brothers, Jason, Wade and Bobby Howard and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved her very much.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Rolling Hills Community Church on Friday, January 2 at 2PM. Donations may be made to an account set up at Key Bank for Chloe's College Trust Fund.
