Ruth Marie Warring of Mt. Angel died December 10, 2013 at the age of 88. Ruth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Charles and Irene Smith in 1925. She had three brothers; Thomas, Larry and Kenneth and a sister Margaret. She graduated class of 1944 from St. Paul H.S. in Minnesota and when Ruth was 18 years old the family moved to Woodburn. She met and married Don Warring in 1946. They had two children Cecelia Ann and Michael Alan; Ruth later married Leonard Ramlo. Ruth was an artist for many years, a member of the Woodburn art center, St. Luke Catholic Church, St. Luke's choir and member of Sacred Heart Church in Gervais. In 1996 she and Don, her one true love, got back together and had three happy years together before he got sick. She nursed and took care of him until his death in 1998. In 2006 Ruth moved to Mt. Angel and became a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by daughter Cecelia Ann Prince; son, Michael Alan Warring; brother, Thomas; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mt. Angel. Contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart School Fund. Arrangements by Simon-Cornwell Colonial ChapelRosary prior to mass at 10:30 AM
