Rodolfo "Rudy" Trevino Medina, lovingly known as "Shorde" to his family, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughter and grandchildren on April 18, 2025, in Woodburn, Oregon, at the age of 78.
Rodolfo was born in Seguin, Texas, and proudly carried the spirit of his Tejano roots throughout his life. Known for his warm smile, his love of Tejano music and dancing, Rudy brought joy, energy, and kindness into every room he entered.
In 1963 the family moved to Woodburn, Oregon and graduated from Woodburn High School in June of 1967.
His passions included fishing, archery, and karate—earning a black belt—and working on cars, especially vintage classics. He found joy under the hood of an engine just as much as he did on the dance floor. He retired from Mead Paper Products in Salem, Oregon, where he was a valued and dedicated employee.
Rudy is survived by his loving daughter, Laura Medina Trevizo; his grandchildren, Cassandra Rae Trevizo and Dorian Raul Trevizo; and his great-grandchildren, Dominic and Vivianna Trevizo. He also leaves behind his sisters, Margarita Alejandro and Maria Medina Diaz; his brother, Ray Medina of Seguin, Texas; and his nephew, Ray Medina Jr., who was like a son to him.
