Robert "Bob" Warren Warfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, in Portland, OR. Robert was born July 17, 1927, in San Diego, California to Glen and Virginia Warfield. As a young man, he joined the Merchant Marines and served his country in the US, as well as in foreign ports. Upon his return to California, he met the love of his life, Lavonne (Donnye) Madden and they were married on July 24, 1948. Together they raised two daughters, Kathleen and Linda. Robert and Donnye soon moved to El Segundo, California, and spent many years there while Robert enjoyed an accomplished career at the Standard Oil Company. After his retirement, the couple moved to Woodburn, OR in 1990 where they made new friends, traveled extensively, and enjoyed time spent with their grandsons. After Donnye's passing in 2008, Robert moved to a quaint house in Lake Oswego, OR and spent his final years there with daughter, Linda nearby. Hunting and fishing were Robert's passions, and elk hunting in Idaho with his close friend, Dave, produced many cherished memories. Robert is survived by daughters Kathleen (Bruce) Brown and Linda (Ron) Olson, grandsons Ryan and Rick, great grandson, Ben, a nephew, nieces, special sister-in-law, Myrtie, and friends old and new. At Robert's request no public services will be held.
