Robert Smith passed away on November 24, 2020 in Woodburn OR. He was born at home in Cheney, Washington on December 12, 1924 to Clifford and Julia Smith. He married Irma Lee Manley in 1947


Raised on a farm he liked working with the livestock including cattle and workhorses. Dad worked on several farms, ranches. In 1963 he was hired by All West Breeders, working in Marion and Clackamas counties for the next 30 years.

Rob was active in St. Luke Parish, the Woodburn Grange and the Knights of Columbus. He was a reserve policeman for Woodburn. He delivered Meals-on-Wheels for many years. He also enjoyed helping run the Red Barn at the state fair grounds.

Robert is survived by his sons, Michael (Kathy), Duane (Doris), Kevin (Stella) and daughter in law Diane Smith. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Ralph, Keith and sisters Mildred and Theresa, daughter Melanie and son Kerry

A family funeral will be held December 4th at St Agnes in Hubbard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oregon Right to Life or St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hubbard.
