Robert "Bob" Neilo Rose, 85, of Woodburn died Oct 12.

Born January 30, 1931 in Caldwell Idaho. Bob became a resident of Oregon in his early years graduating from Madras High school in central Oregon. He later joined the Navy after and was a cook on a heavy cruiser, the USS Rochester.

He meet Elizabeth-Ann Binnicker in Seaside while he was stationed at Tongue Point, Astoria. They married April 12, 1953 in Seaside while he was still in the Navy.

After serving with the Navy, Bob completed an apprenticeship as a Plumber in Oswego. He later worked as a Pipe fitter at many heavy construction site around the county, including 6 months in Alaska on the pipeline.

He enjoyed traveling, rock hunting and jewelry making.

Survivors is only his son William "Bill" Rose.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Rose in 2003, his children Doug Rose in 1984, and Susan Rose in 1999
