Obituary

Robert was born on April 16, 1927, to Frank and Anna Pokorny, of Woodburn. He married the love of his life, Jean M. Mack, on Oct. 10, 1959. He spent three years in the United States Army during World War II. He then spent many years growing hops in St. Paul, and then worked for John I. Hass, retiring in 2015. His hobby was raising Angus cattle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Viola McKay, of St. Paul; brothers Daniel (Bonnie) Pokorny, of Keizer, and Edwin (Pat) Pokorny, of Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Robert's life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at the Woodburn Estates and Golf Course Clubhouse Auditorium, 1776 Country Club Road, Woodburn.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Dachshund Rescue of North America ( http://www.drna.org/ ) in Robert's name would be appreciated.
