After a 5 year battle with cancer, Bob went to his Lord, joining his parents and 2 best friends on June 22. Bob was born April 29, 1946 to Leonard & Lorraine Anderson (Schuman) in Roswell, NM. Raised in Royal Oak MI until he was 10. His family then moved to Orlando, FL. At the age of 17 he joined the Army spending 3 years in Germany where he me one of his best friends. Larry from Oregon. Larry encourage him to visit Oregon since he loved Germany. Shortly after arriving, he me the love of his life, Patty Postma. Nine months later they began their 52 year marriage.
Bob worked most of his live at Avision Lumber mill operating various equipment. He & Patty did move to Orlando for 2 years in 1970 where he worked for Disney World running inventory control if their lumber yard during the construction of Phase 1.
Bob's oldest daughter, Lori was born in Orlando in 1971. In 1972 hey moved back to the Woodburn area. In 1976 daughter, Kelly was born and son, Bill, in 1980. In 2000 Bob was thrilled to greet his first grandson, Drake, followed by Dylan in 2003, sons of Bill and Amber. They were his pride and joy.
Bob lived for hunting and fishing with his son, brother-in-law and nephews. He always got a kick out of fishing with his girls. It was comedy.
Due to the Covid-19 virus, no service is planned at this time. However, the family members will spread some of his remains in his two favorite places, the area where he hunted near John Day and his favorite fishing spot near Florence.
