Rita Mae Colyer died at the age of 79 on July 28, 2012 at a local hospital. Rita was born in Salem, OR at the Deaconess Hospital to Carl L. and Viola M. ( Detlefs) Morrison.The family lived on a farm in Independence,OR. About nine years later the family moved to Salem. Rita attended Salem and Keizer grade schools, Parish Jr. High School and North Salem High School, which she graduated from.George Colyer and Rita Morrison were united in marriage August 25, 1951.They were married in the First Baptist Church in Salem. Before they married, they had decided to make Woodburn Church of God their church home.George and Rita had three children; Linda , George and Sandi. She has one sister DebbieCooper and one brother Carl Morrison.Rita worked at the Salem Pacific Telephone Co., J. C. Pennys Co. and spent twenty five years with First National and First Interstate Bank in Woodburn, OR.Rita was Sunday School Superintendent at Hoodview Church of God in Woodburn for fifty years.Rita and George had forty eight wonderful years of marriage together.Their priorities were their family and their church. Rita's hobbies were helping at church, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, oil painting, genealogy(family history), computer ministries and entertaining friends in her home.Rita is survived by her daughters; Linda Boyer and Steve Kramer of Timber, OR and Sandi Neal Kline and Randall Kline of Woodburn, OR, daughter-in-law Jeanette Colyer of Brooks, OR., nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren,.
