Richard Everett Palmer

Born February 2, 1949 and passed away on July 9, 2017. 3 kids Joshua, Patrick and Elizabeth, his mother Helen Palmer and father Raymond Palmer preceded him in death. Richard had two sisters, Dorothy Leppin and Linda Beck. Richard served one tour in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked for a mobile home manufacturer company for many years. Then he worked on a farm in Brooks, OR. He was very intelligent and enjoyed history and knew something about everything. His passion was shuffle board and cross word puzzles. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.
Rick enjoyed hanging out at Iggy's Bar and Grill in Brooks, OR. He was captain on their shuffle board team for many years.
There will be a burial ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on Tuesday July 18, 2017. We will be having a wake for him at Iggy's on July 23, 2017 from 1pm to 5 pm. Feel free to visit the funeral home website at www.cornwellcolonial.com to share any memories of Rick.
