Phyllis Bell (Miller) Murdock died at age 90 (12/01/1928 to 02/09/2019) in her bed at the Heartwood Memory Care Community in Woodburn, Oregon.
Phyllis was born near Thedford, Nebraska. She was raised on farm near Chadron, Nebraska; graduating from the Chadron High School in 1946. Phyllis married Lyle Gene Murdock at age 18. Sheattended the University of Colorado and graduated with a BS in Business in 1953. She also was certified as a Medical Records Librarian in 1953.
She played the clarinet in the Chadron High School Band. She was a devout Christianher whole life,taught Sundayschool for many years and often was observed singing gospel songs. Phyllis followed her mother's footsteps and excelled in numerous artistic ventures – she knitted, embroidered, spun, wove and dyed her own wools for her various projects ranging from rugs, coats, sweaters, and draw.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Charles William Miller;her mother Mary Catherine (McGregor) Miller, and her daughter Dana Paige(Murdock) Orr.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Patra Jean Murdock (Woodburn, Oregon);granddaughters Catherine Orr (Norton, Kansas) and Michelle Orr (Denver, Colorado);and great grandchildren Martin Orr (Norton, Kansas), Saya, Rela, MacKenzie and Harrison (Denver, Colorado).
Phyllis will be interned at Montana State Veterans Cemetery, Fort Harrison, in Helena, Montana with her husband, Lyle Murdock.
