Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, Phyllis Carlene Morgan 81, passed away November 5, 2015 in Woodburn, OR. Following a full life of continuous learning and service. Born March 8, 1934 to Carl Cecil Peterson and Mary Helen Parsons in Concordia, Kansas, moved to El Paso, Texas at age 8. Crockett grade school, Austin High School, Texas Western College BS in Education and Master of Science for Teachers from Illinois Institute of Technology 1972.

She trusted God and devoted her time and energies to teaching, church, family and friends.

Occupation: Irvin High School Sociology teacher, Rusk Elementary School Assistant Principal, and retired as a West Area Consultant for the El Paso Independent School district.

Affiliations: El Paso Texas Fort. Blvd. Methodist Church/Faith Methodist, BSF International, Ruth/Esther Circle, Mt. Franklin Rainbows, Pleiades Order of Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, El Paso Retired Teachers Association, Hog Rides, and El Paso Sungold Chapter Sweet Adelines International.

Elderhostels/Travel: U.S., Alaska, India, New Zealand, China, Russian, Turkey, England bicycle tour, Australia, Fiji, Jamaica, and Mexico.

Sister: Pat Clark of El Paso, Texas.
Children: Donn (Houghton Michigan), Richard (El Paso, Texas) and Dwight de Yampert (Smyrna, Tennessee) and Debbie Aljets (Woodburn, Oregon).
Grandchildren: Byron (Houghton, MI), Tommy de Yampert (NY) and Brittany Willis (Eugene, Oregon).

Colorful life to include - Tandem Bicycle touring, Motor Cycle Hog Rides, Senior Olympics 100 mile medalist, avid reader and study of the Bible, 50 year member of Ft. Blvd. and Faith Methodist. Sunday school teacher 25-30 years.

She is dearly missed.
