Phyllis was born in Canby, Oregon, on August 13,1927, to Earl M. Grim and Amanda Gertrude (Smidt) Grim. She passed away on June 11, 2021, in Portland, Oregon. Phyllis spent her childhood on a hop farm in Aurora, Oregon.

Phyllis graduated from Woodburn High School in 1945. She went on to work for TIC TOC Drive-In Restaurant in Portland, Oregon. In 1947, she started a 34 year career at Pacific Northwest Bell, and retired in 1981.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Kenneth E. Gregory, and granddaughters Jessica and Candice Gregory, and great grandchild Aaliyah and Eli.
