1916 - 2015
Phyllis was born in Walla Walla,WA on December 13, 1916 to Phil & Myrtle Dalene. In the Spring they moved to Monteana near Ismy in 1923. In 1924 they moved back to Walla Walla. Myrtle died in 1928. In 1929 Phil and Phyllis moved to Spokane where Phyllis completed Junior High School. Returning to Walla Walla Phyllis finished the last two years at Saint Vincent Academy in 1934. She then went into Saint Mary's Hospital Nurse Program. She graduated as a Registerd Nurse in 1937. In September 1938 she marrried Dean Allman. They lived in Walla Walla and then onto Coerur d' Alene, Idaho. In 1941 there first child,Doug,was born. Towards the end of WWII
Phyllis and Doug moved to Redlands, California to be closer to Dean who was in the Navy at San Diego. Their daughter, Sharen was born September 7, 1944. Phyllis then resumed her nursing carrer at working hospital, worked at Aerospace Corporation as their Industrial Nurse. Having retired in 1974 Dean and Phyllis moved to Woodburn,
Oregon. With their motorhome they enjoyed traveling the USA,Mexico and Canada. They visited their son,daughter and grand children. They loved life-traveling and golf. Dean passed in 1997. Phyllis always active to the end. She was a member of Saint Luke's Catholic Daughters, Alter Society and many bridge groups. She really enjoyed life and all the wonderful people she knew.
Service for Phyllis will be held at St Luke Catholic Church May 16, 2015 at 3:30.
