Phillip Aaron Lukawitz was born on February 19, 1952 in Anchorage, Alaska and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 7, 2018 while working on his farm in Woodburn, Oregon.
As a young child, his family moved to the Willamette Valley. He achieved a vocational degree and continued to be a passionate problem solver. During the last few years he became very active in the Woodburn Evangelical Church. It was there that he bonded with men that enjoyed riding their motorcycles and frequently planning day long rides.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Lukawitz; as well as his sister, Diane Baker, of Salem; his Aunt, Jenny Curtis and her husband Tony of England; 3 children, Connie Lukawitz of Falls City, Patricia Lukawitz, of Woodburn and Stanley Lukawitz of Falls City. His 3 step-children Emil Young, Jr. and hid wife Stephanie of Longview, Washington. Judy Lind and her husband Bob, of Mt. Angel; and Linda Brown-Combs, of Willamina. 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Irene Lukawitz and brother, Ken Lukawitz. Also, his beloved pet Muggles.
The Remembrance Service for Phil will be held at the Woodburn Evangelical Church at 1050 Boones Ferry Road in Woodburn on Monday. October 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm. As Phil might have said, "Please come for a get-together and grub" following the service.
