Philip ""Skip"" E. Hughes, 65 of Woodburn died Feb. 28, 2013. He was born in Seattle on Dec. 26, 1947, to Phillip and Jean Hughes, who are both deceased.Skip served in the U.S. Army in Germany and through two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Keizer Elks of Oregon Lodge No. 2472. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Julie, and his two sons Cory and Troy Hughes. A private celebration of life is being planned. The family suggests donations can be made in Philip's name to Shriners Hospital.
