Paul Joseph Sowa, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on February 18, 2021 at 82 years old.
He was born March 12, 1938 to Joe and Hazel Sowa in Woodburn attending St. Benedict's (St. Luke's) grade school, Mt Angel Prep and graduating from the University of Portland. He married Sylvia Hovenden Sowa and they remained married for 57 years.
Paul served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany and joined the family business after returning and graduating from college. In the 80's, he ran his own business until his retirement well into his 70's.
A kind and gentle soul, he will be missed by his family and friends. Paul is survived by his wife, Sylvia, sons Scott of Riverside, CA and Sean (Sherry) of Tigard and grandchildren Tim and Allison of Riverside, Ca.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Viewing will be held at Simon Cornwell Colonial Chapel, with a private funeral. The family will hold a celebration of life in the near future.
