Paul D Quist, MD, who was born November 29, 1958, to Marvin and Audriene Quist, Roseburg, passed away February 18, 2015, age 56, after a short battle with an aggressive cancer. He will be remembered by his quiet and congenial spirit mixed with a quick wit and propensity for detail. His humble Roseburg beginnings made him value hard work and education. Interest in science led him into a fulfilling 28-year radiology career in the Portland area. He was a member of Radiological Society of North America, Oregon Medical Association and Association of Northwest Physicians. Travels to Hawaii, Key West, Dry Tortugas, Fiji, Canada, Virginia, Disneyworld, New Mexico, Arizona, California….anywhere it was warm!... brought special joy into his life, including special times on the Oregon coast with the Tim Latta family and in Richmond, VA with the JL Jones family.

Paul leaves behind his beloved partner of 15 years, Johnn L Jones; brothers Myron (Wanda, Canby) and Joe (Sacramento); nieces and nephew (Wendy, Mike, Sara, Hannah, Jenna); and great-nephew (Miles) and great-niece (Hayleigh). He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Audriene; and sisters, Peggy Joe and Patty Jean.

A celebration of life service in Polynesian, casual style will be held at Rolling Hills Community Church, 3550 SW Borland Road, Tualatin, OR 97062, at 2 pm, Friday, February 27. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dr. Sheree Lynch, Honduras Medical Clinic, c/o any Key Bank. (Paul and Johnn dreamed of coming alongside Dr. Lynch in serving medical needs in Honduras.)
