Nieves R. Lopez of Gervias, Oregon died June 21, 2004. She was 77 years old. Nieves was born August 5, 1926 in Asherton, Texas. She married Jesus Lopez in 1943 in Natchez, Mississippi and they made their home in Texas. In 1956 they moved to St. Paul, Oregon, followed by Gervais in 1970, to California in 1991 and returning to Gervais in 2000. She was a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing and crochetting. She is survived by her children Lucia Bustamante of Gervais, Ernestina Perez of San Jose, CA, Jesus Lopez of Gervais, husband Jesus of Gervais, a brother George Ruiz of Texas and sisters Josephina Cruz and Lidia Martinez both of Texas, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Vigil Service: Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 6:30 p.m., Cornwell Colonial Chapel in WoodburnVigil Service: Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 7:00p.m. , Sacred Heart Catholic Church
