Mildred (Millie) Miller, 87, passed away March 1. Born in Newberg, Oregon, she was the daughter of Frank and Agnes Berhorst of St. Paul. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1949, was Student Body Vice President and was nicknamed "Giggles" by her classmates.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clarence (Fuzzy). She is survived by her son Robert and wife Karen, son Keith and Barbara Smith, daughter Diane and husband Jack McCormick, son Buz and wife Liz. She had 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom she adored.
Millie loved crafts and spent time making projects that involved crocheting and knitting. She was a Bluebirds and Camp Fire leader for her daughter Diane. She worked at variety stores in Woodburn. She loved the outdoors, fishing, clam digging, hunting and camping throughout the northwest with family and friends. Millie and Fuzzy enjoyed going to garage sales and enjoyed taking bus trips to Nevada to the casinos where they met new friends, played the penny slots and took advantage of the many buffets.
Millie was a very caring, happy person with a great sense of humor who loved her family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held by family with interment at Belle Passé Mausoleum.
