Mildred June Becker-Wedel, known as June; age 87 formerly of Gervais and Keizer, died Saturday, July 25 in Salem, Oregon where she spent the last year living at Bonaventure Assisted Living.
1. June was born in Ballston, Oregon to Jack and Sophia (Wildt) Magel. When June was about 12 years old, her family moved to Gervais, Oregon, and June later attended and graduated from Gervais Union High School . June and Norris Becker married on June 30, 1947 in Reno, Nevada and were married until Norris's death in 2000. Later June married Harold (Bud) Wedel, who passed away in 2013.
June and Norris have four children, and during the children's younger years, June was an efficient and resourceful homemaker. Years later, she worked for Salem-Keizer school district as a bus driver for 24 years. She retired in 1991.
June enjoyed family, taking walks, traveling, flower and vegetable gardening; she was a great cook and loved dogs.

She is survived by her sons Greg, Gerry, and Tom; daughter Leslie; sisters: Gladys May, Rhoda Hollway, Lucille Temple, and Sylvia Phillips; brother Jack Magel. June is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Norris, second husband Bud Wedel, sisters: Rose Trzil and Talitha Nusom, brothers: Floyd Magel, Dan Magel, and Sammy Magel.
