Michael "Mick" Edward McCarthy
September 17, 1953 – December 9, 2015

Michael was born September 17, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas and Patricia McCarthy. As a child, he moved with his family to Danville, California, where he graduated from San Ramon High School and attended Diablo Valley College.

He met the love of his life, Annette Ball, while working in sales for WilsonArt; they married in 1989 in San Ramon, California where their two sons, Sean and Ryan, were born. In 1998 they relocated to Wilsonville, Oregon.

Michael worked as a service advisor for various local auto dealerships, but his passion had always been working with Porsche and Audi. Michael was an avid skier who also loved to camp, hike and hunt for chanterelle mushrooms. An accomplished chef, Michael loved to cook, and his culinary creations are well remembered by family and friends.

Michael is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Annette; his sons Sean, 23 and Ryan, 21; brothers Thomas Gerald of San Ramon, California and Kevin John of Round Rock, Texas, and sister Kathleen Marie (Ed Kabobel) of Temple, Texas; nieces Heather, Meagan, Patricia, Cindy and Malinda, and nephews Kevin, Joe and Thomas; several great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Patricia McCarthy.

There will be a visitation on Monday, December 14 from 4pm to 7pm, and a memorial service at 11am on Tuesday, December 15, at Cornwell Colonial Chapel, Wilsonville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association.
