Michael Eugene Cook passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 74, peacefully joining the embrace of Jesus. Michael was born to Eugene and Belle Marie Cook on February 14 1949, in Portland Oregon.
As a teenager he ran long distance track and excelled in pottery. Michael won some art awards for his pottery creations which his wife Michele cherishes.
Michael found joy in working in his yard, taking immense pride in maintaining his lawn. Many were amazed by its perfection, with some even mistaking it for AstroTurf due to its flawless appearance.
He served as the Homeowners Association (HOA) president for 16 years in the Woodburn, Oregon development that he and Michele were a part of.
Hawaii, and specifically Maui, held a special place in his heart as his "happy place." During the year 2023, Michael and Michele were fortunate to visit Maui twice, creating cherished memories in their happy haven.
A warrior throughout life and a Vietnam Veteran, Michael is survived by his wife Michele, along with many caring individuals including his sister, Pamela Mann of Cascade, Idaho, and his brother, Kerry Cook of Hood River, Oregon. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
He joins his parents Eugene and Belle, as well as his older brother Larrie Mason in Heaven.
