Maxine King Singer, age 78, of Aurora, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on June 24, 2013, with her husband of almost 57 years at her side.Maxine was born in Toledo on July 15, 1934 and was the only child of Ralph and Jeannette King. Maxine grew up in Salem, attended North Salem High School and graduated in 1952. After graduation she attended business school and began working at the ASCS Office. She met her husband, John Singer while working there. They married November 18, 1956. The lived in Salem until 1958, where they moved to the family farm in Aurora. She was an avid seamstress, cooked, canned and helped on the farm. In her retirement years she enjoyed clamming and RVing.`She is survived by her husband, John and two daughters, Deanna Nibler and Denise Burnham, and her two son-in-laws, David Nibler and Mike Burnham, all of Aurora.She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Megan and Elise Nibler and Krista and Tyler Burnham. Memorial service is scheduled 11:30 AM June 29, 2013 at Valley Christian Church in Wilsonville, OR. Private Graveside will be held prior to Memorial Service.
