Mary Grassman (Belleque) Nibler

Mary Joanne Nibler, 85, died peacefully on Holy Saturday at Salem Hospital, many years after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Born in St. Louis, Oregon to Clarence and Johanna Grassman, Mary was the 7th of eight children. In 1950, she married Ron Belleque, and then was widowed 12 years later when Ron died in a car accident. In 1965, she married Carl Nibler; they were married nearly 36 years until Carl's death in 2001.
As the devoted mother of ten children, Mary was a homemaker who particularly enjoyed sewing, cooking, attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, and visits from her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children Christine (John) Welch, Mark Belleque, Elaine (Rolen) Schott, Kurt (Mary) Belleque, Joanne (Dave) James, Jack (Kathy) Belleque, Kent (Susan) Belleque, Brian (Sandi) Belleque, Laura (Ron) Beyer, Amy (Brent) Counts; 43 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren with 5 more on the way; brother Clarence (Frances) Grassman, Jr.
Mary was predeceased by her sister Ruth and brothers Cleo, John, Glen, Edward, and Richard.
Rosary will be at 7 PM Tuesday, April 18 and Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM Wednesday, April 19, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Vault interment will be at St. Louis Cemetery. Contributions: Sacred Heart Catholic School or Holy Family Academy.
