Mary Elena Georgieff was born to Vladimir Georgieff and Dasdoris Paulina Georgieff in Ponta Grossa, Brazil, in the State of Paraná, on November 5, 1964.

They immigrated to Nyack, New York in 1970 and ultimately settled in Woodburn, Oregon in 1976. Mary attended Woodburn High School and The University of Oregon.

She was musically gifted in her youth, and maintained a fervent, life-long love of music. She pursued the culinary arts through Job Corps before settling into her life as a mother. Later, she obtained a degree from Chemeketa Community College in Medical Coding. Though her health began to fail her later in life, she maintained her positive outlook, humor, and optimistic worldview.

She is survived by her older brother, Paul, her four children, David, Kristina, Julian and Antonio, and her Grandson, Geronimo.

Mary was devout in her belief in the Lord, and through his glory we know she is restored in the kingdom of heaven.
