Marjorie Lorraine Winn-Powers
January 15, 1925 – December 21, 2014

Marjorie was born on a ranch in Dovetail, Montana to Inez Houts Jackson and Dennis Jackson. She passes away, nearly 90 years later, in Salem, Oregon. She was the oldest of four children, attending school in Springview Nebraska. She met and married Homer Winn in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, when he was stationed there during WWII. They eventually settled in Woodburn, Oregon. Homer died in 1973. Marjorie taught at Nellie Muir Elementary School until she retired. She married Oliver Powers, they enjoyed many years of travel.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her brother John, sisters Marcell and Evelyn, husbands Homer and Ollie, and son Dennis. She is survived by her son Steven and wife Barbara; Kent; Kenneth and wife Wanda; daughter Lori Valdez, husband Joseph; and by grandchildren Daniel Winn, and Joseph, Kenneth and Michael Valdez.
