Marie W "Strike" Bentaas (Mother, Grandmother, Grammy Great)
Marie was born October 18th 1918 to Sydney and Eva Strike in the middle on the 1918 Flu Epidemic on the Chapman Ranch in Monitor, OR. She was the youngest of 3 girls. In 1920 the family moved to Woodburn, OR. Marie graduated from Woodburn High School in 1936.
She married Duffy (Adolph) Bentaas November 15th 1941 and moved to Vancouver, WA were they raised a son Robert Bentaas. She was a great baker of pies and loved to be outside in her garden.
Marie passed away peacefully due to natural causes January 21st 2017 with family present, she will be greatly missed.
Marie is survived by:
Her son Bob, his wife Jan
Grandson Andy, his wife Jami and Great grandson Erik
Grandson Jon, his wife Kristie and Great granddaughters Eliza and Evelyn
Nephew – Ken Asburry; Niece – Irene Barnes and the children and grandchildren.
