Maria Elena Gallegos died at the age of 71 on August 23, 2013 at her St. Paul residence with her family at her side. Maria was born August 10, 1942 at Asherton, Texas to Edwardo and Felipa (Ruiz) Sifuentez.Maria settled in St. Paul in 1958, where she married Ignacio Gallegos in 1962. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.Maria is survived by her spouse Ignacio of St Paul, children Ignacio Gallegos of Gervais, Sobedia Salas of Gervais, Thelma Medina of Newberg, Oralia Vargas of Salem, Teresa Malagon of Hubbard and Guadalupe Sanchez of Texas. Also brothers Jose of Woodburn, Ramon of Chicago, Oscar of Washington, Edwardo of Eugene, George of Aurora, Robert of Salem and David Sifuentez of Woodburn, sisters Roselinda Sifuentez and Nasaria Grijalva both of Woodburn.Rosary will be held Tuesday- August 27, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel-Woodburn.
