Maria Amparo Cruz, aged 82, passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2024, at her home in
Keizer, Oregon surrounded by family. She was born on February 18th, 1941, in La Mesa, Texas
to Juan Villastrigo & Catarina Villastrigo. She was raised in her hometown Asherton, Texas. She
married Gilberto C. Cruz on November 23, 1955 in St. Paul, Oregon. She had 6 siblings that
have all passed on before her: Ismael Villastrigo (wife Juanita Villastrigo), Anita Flores (husband
Mauro Flores), Francisco Villastrigo (wife Teresa Villastrigo), Ramon Villastrigo (wife Santos
Villastrigo), S. Oscar Villastrigo (wife Delia Villastrigo), Juan Villastrigo Jr. (Armandina
Villastrigo). She leaves behind 4 children & reunites with eldest daughter: Maria Alicia Cruz+,
Gilbert V. Cruz, Macaria A. Cruz, Christopher Brian Cruz and Stephanie Dawn Cruz and 15
grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephew's and cousins. Amparo loved
all of her family very very much. Her family meant a lot to her, she looked forward to going to
family reunions, talking to them on the phone and traveling to her hometown. Amparo always
had the ability to make anyone smile. Family, friends, and others are invited to the

Thursday January 18th, 2024 for the viewing. Funeral will be at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 417
Harrison Street, Woodburn, OR 97071 on Friday January 19th, 2024 at 1pm, burial at St. Luke's
Cemetery. Gathering & food (potluck) following burial. at Eagles 4090 Cherry Ave NE, Keizer,
OR 97303 to honor the life of our beloved mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt, cousin & friend.
