Margaret M. Partsch
March 27, 1922 – April 6, 2017
Margaret Partsch was born March 27, 1922 to Theresa and Louis Partsch in Beavercreek, Oregon. She was one of four children having one sister, Vera and two brothers, Robert and Arthur. Her family moved to the St. Paul – Gervais area in 1935 and later moved to a farm in Fairfield. Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for several employers eventually retiring from Publishers Paper Mill in Newberg, Oregon. Neither Margaret or her sister Vera ever married, so together they built a new house on the farm in Fairfield in 1982. They worked very hard on their farm growing prunes and grapes which they made wine from as well as tending a large garden each year. The sisters also had a cow and shared their milk with neighbors. Margaret enjoyed hunting and fishing and belonged to the Multnomah Anglers and Hunters Club as well as the National Rifle Association. She was a devoted pet owner to her dogs, the last of which was an Australian Shepherd named Bailey. Margaret left her beloved farm in December 2016 and entered a memory care facility where she passed away on April 6, 2017. Margaret was a devout Catholic who belonged to St. Louis Parish and who was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court of Our Lady of Perpetual Adoration. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings and is survived by several cousins and their families.
The funeral will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Gervais, Oregon on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 am with the Rosary and viewing preceding the mass at 10:30 am.
