Margaret Harrington 1943 - 2015

Our dear Margaret Harrington passed away Friday, July 10, 2015, with her daughter Alison and son-in-law David by her side. Margaret Best was born in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia in 1943. She met Phil Harrington at a yacht club dance, and they were married in 1966. Margaret and Phil had three children and started moving around Australia and the world with Phil's work, visiting California, Indonesia, England, Illinois, California (again), and Texas. After Phil passed away in 2008, Margaret moved to Oregon in 2009 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Her interests included bridge, playing fetch with her faithful dog Teddy, gardening, visiting with her Charbonneau friends, giving back to the community through volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club and many other organizations, and enjoying a lovely cup of hot tea.
Margaret is survived by her children, Alison, Jeanette, and David; grandchildren, Zachary, Sydney, Emily, Lauren, and Tyler; siblings, Coralie, Gary, Peter, Rodney and Graham, and many more relations in Australia.
