Lilian Virginia Blissenbach died at the age of 95 on May 3, 2012 at a local hospital .Lilian was born Aug. 28, 1916 at Cleveland, Ohio to Andrew and Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Heinz. She grew up in The Dalles, Oregon, graduating from Dalles High School and St Mary's Academy . She persued a career as a beauty operator for 10 years at The Dalles.She married Joseph Blissenbach at The Dalles, Oregon May 11, 1944.They lived in the The Dalles until 1962, moved onto Baker City, OR. until 1967, then onto Tacoma, WA for 7 years. Spent 10 years in Elko, NV, finally settling in Woodburn in 1981.She had many passions such as knitting , playing bridge and especially cooking. She is survived by her son Tim Blissenbach of Eugene, OR, 3 grandchildren, 2 nephews, 1 niece and daughter-in-law Cheryl Ann Blissenbach of Chandler, AZ She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and son Jerome, sisters: Betty and Dorothy. Rosary Wednesday- May 23, 2012 at 10:30 AM followed by Memorial Mass at St Luke Catholic Church at Woodburn. Private Interment at Willamette National Cemetery.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
