Lewis "Ole" Howard Paulson died at the age of 97 on June 10, 2013 at Woodburn, OR.Lewis was born August 23, 1915 at Blaine, ID to Olaf and Kaaren (Lassen)Paulson. While Lewis was still a child, family moved to Oregon , where theyoperated a dairy farm.Lewis graduated from Silverton High School. He married Holly Woodward October 15, 1938 at Silverton, OR.For 42 years, his business, Ole's Texaco Station was a popular gathering place.He retired in 1981.Lewis was a very active member of United Methodist Church in Woodburn, OR.He was a Rotary member, Masonic Lodge , Volunteer Fireman and the Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Woodburn School Board for 13 years. Lewis enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating elk hunting and traveling.Lewis is survived by his wife Holly of Woodburn, daughters Barbara Cook of Greenbank, WA, Beth Wright of West Linn, OR and Julie Sallquist of Baker City, ORAlso brother Olaf Paulson Jr., 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Enid and Joy and brothers Raymond and John.Memorial service will be held June 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Silver Creek Assisted Livingin Woodburn, OR.Private family Entombment at Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum at Woodburn, OR.Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel- Woodburnwwwcornwellcolonialchapel.com
