LaVeta Louise Bizon
June 7, 1928 – March 9, 2016.
LaVeta Louise Bizon, of Hubbard, died March 9, 2016. She was born June 7, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Ambrose and Katherine Young. She grew up in Kansas City. After high school she enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War from 1951-1952. She met Leonard Bizon of Hubbard while serving in the Navy, and they married in 1952. After raising her family she worked as the Post Master in Hubbard, OR. She was an avid golfer and a member of the West Woodburn and Senior Estates Golf Clubs. She lived on the family farm for 60 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard. She was a loving wife and mother and had many friends.
LaVeta is survived by her children; Michael of Woodburn, Paul of Wilsonville, Steve of Aurora, Pat of Hubbard, Philip of Wilsonville, Julie Byrd of Hubbard, and David of Canby. She has 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday March 16th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Woodburn, OR. Arrangements are by Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn.
