Obituary

Kim Stanford Jeffries passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, surrounded by love. He was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1953, in Caldwell, Idaho. Kim spent his early years exploring the beauty of Idaho's small towns and deserts, forming a deep love for the outdoors. His adventurous spirit shone as he rode horses for hours with his friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

At the age of 14, Kim's family moved to Oregon, where he settled in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1972. During his junior year, he met the love of his life, Jennifer Harris. They married on August 24, 1972, embarking on a devoted partnership that spanned 52 wonderful years.

Kim and Jennifer built a loving home in Hubbard, where they raised their two children. In 1975, they welcomed their daughter, Stacy Lynn, followed by their son, Stan Muriel, in 1979. Kim worked at ConAgra in Wilsonville until his retirement, providing a stable foundation for his family.

A true horseman at heart, Kim was known for his incredible skill as a horse whisperer. He had a gift for training horses and took pride in shoeing them with meticulous care. Many fond memories were made at the Canby Games Club, where Kim participated in horse competitions. It was there that his friends lovingly nicknamed him "Pa," a title that perfectly captured his warmth and steadfast presence.

Kim's passion for the outdoors extended to camping trips, especially horse camping and later RV adventures, where he cherished time in the landscapes of the East. Kim's love, humor, and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Stacy Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (affectionately known as JL); his son, Stan (Stephanie); His son-in-law Jeff Charpilloz, his sister, Redina Frantz; brothers, Lavay, David, and Dorian; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Simon-Cornwell Funeral Home in Woodburn, Oregon.

Kim's legacy of love, family, and his deep connection to nature and horses will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
