Josephina Padron Nañez passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024, at the age of 74. She was born on August 2, 1950, in Moorehead, Minnesota, to Jesusa Carrera and Toribio Padron.

Josephina was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ricardo Nañez, her parents, and her siblings Antonio Padron, Maria Torres, and Valentine Padron. Her siblings survive her: Nicolas Padron, Lina Bustamante, Juan Padron, Diana Gil, Juana Gonzalez, and Mary Anne C Padron, who will carry on her memory.

She was the proud and devoted mother of five children: Abby Nañez, Marcos Nañez, Sally Nañez, and her husband, Chris Brookes; Patricia Reynoso and her husband, Juan "Silent" Reynoso; and Angelica Martinez and her husband, Brandon Martinez. Josephina's love and care extended to her 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who were all blessed to have had her in their lives. Her love for her family was a guiding light, bringing warmth and care into their lives.

Josephina's greatest passion was cooking; she was especially known for her famous tamales. She took joy in making cakes and preparing special dinners for her family's birthdays, ensuring every celebration was filled with love and delicious food.

Her dedication to her church, and strong faith in Jesus were central to her life. Josephina will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and devotion to her faith and family. She was a woman of deep faith, whose home was always open, and who nurtured everyone around her with love and wisdom. Her family will continue to cherish her legacy of kindness and generosity. Her faith was a source of strength and inspiration for all who knew her.

Rest in peace, Josephina. Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, Tia, and friend. Your love and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew you, creating heartwarming memories for generations to come.
