Washington Attorney, Joseph McQuade Littlemore passed peacefully in the Salem Health Hospital after a prolonged series of medical problems. He was retired as a Senior Assistant Attorney General and Appellate Law Judge for the Washington State Employment Security Department. He was born in Seward, Alaska where his parents Joseph V. Hermson and Margaret Hermson (McQuade) were teachers in nearby villages. After Joseph's birth they returned to Washington State where Joseph Hermson worked for the Washington State Patrol, but soon passed away as a result of surgery in Renton, WA.
Margaret later married Jack R. Littlemore and the family soon increased to three boys – Joseph was preceded in death by both parents and Brother Jack Jr.
After graduation from high school, Joseph attended Washington State University, then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. To his good fortune, he was waiting on a boat in Inchon Harbor when the armistice was signed ending hostilities in Korea. Upon completing his tour; he began law school at Gonzaga University graduating with a law degree plus making many lifetime friends.
In 1983 Joseph married Nancy Anderson and they spent many weekends at their home in Olympia entertaining friends, Joe's four childrens' families, and Nancy's three boys' families. Holidays brought families and friends together.
After retirement they moved to Woodburn, Oregon where they lived at The Estates Golf & Country Club. Their back yard extended to the fairway. Fun times were had playing in couples golf tournaments and men's & women's groups. Many friendships developed and they especially enjoyed their times together. Joe was Nancy's very best friend. Many special times were spent with friends along the Oregon and Washington coast. They took several cruises, until the last one in 2010, when Joe suffered a stroke and was air lifted in a medical leer jet to the Salem airport.
Joe is survived by his Wife Nancy; Children, Joey Littlemore, Cami Welch, Mathew Littlemore (Onna), Margaret Flinn, Stepsons Michael Anderson (Karen), Mark Anderson (Bill), Kevin Anderson (Carol), Brother Jerry (Mary Ann) 11 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, Joe's loveable dog Dexter.

Joe's "Celebration of Life" will be held August 8, 2015, 2: 00PM at Saint Mary's Episcopal Church, 1560 West Hayes Street, Woodburn, Oregon 97071. Reverend Samuel Borbon officiating.
