On May 17,2015, Jean Marie Manegre of St. Paul, OR passed away peacefully at Providence Hospital in Portland, OR, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jean was born on Aug. 17, 1922, to Susie and William Fletcher of rural Polk County, OR. Jean attended schools in Dundee and Newberg. After graduating from Newberg High School, Jean attended business college in Seattle, WA and was employed by PGE in Newberg before she married William (Bill) Manegre
of St. Paul, OR in 1944. She is preceded in death by her husband and son, Gary William Manegre. Jean was a farmer and strong willed hard working country girl who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. She was known to grow th "best" tomatoes in St. Paul! Jean was a long time member of the St Paul Rodeo Association and in 2014 was inducted into th St Paul Hall of Fame. Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda Sedlock of West Salem a granddaughter and great granddaughter. Services will be held at Simon-Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn, OR at 11:00 AM on Fri. May 22, 2015. Interment to follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St Paul Ambulance Fund.
