James "Ed" WyantApril 17, 1966 - March 31, 2014 Ed was born to Mary Margaret and Lewis "Pat" Wyant in Sturgis, South Dakota. As an infant, his family moved to Oregon. He was raised in Wilsonville and graduated from West Linn High School in 1985. He married Rhonda in 1991. Together, they had two children and started Ed's excavating company. In 1997, the family moved to Sherwood where they raised their children and his love for the community was apparent.Involvements in which he was most proud included coaching church league softball, teaching Sunday School, as well as time and charitable commitments to his daughters' schools, St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, Camp Serene Lutheran Retreat, and Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Ed enjoyed riding his Harley and dirtbike, singing karaoke, playing the piano and guitar, fishing, and golfing.Ed passed peacefully in his sleep early Monday morning. He is survived by his children Danielle and Breanna, mother Mary, sister Margaret, brother Jay, nieces Shellie and Sarah, and nephew Brandon. He was preceded by his father Pat and brother John.Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sherwood, Oregon. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.A memorial fund has been established in his name.
